MEET RAW QUARTER, THE LABEL FROM COLOMBIA.

We have asked Miguel Lega from Raw Quarter to give us some insights about the label RAW Quarters, a label from Bogota Colombia with a base in Berlin and Barcelona. Starting in 2017 in full force and created by the same minds behind the Colombian crew THC Recordings Label, Lega & The Andean aka Viper Dreams have joined forces with the aim to launch a new RAW sound, focusing on House and Techno music.

Powered by one of the most well known promoters in Colombia, The Hindie Corporation the imprint releases regularly on wax and digital formats with 11 releases so far and 2 V/A’s and one LP.

Planned for this year until November are more deliveries from in-house artists and creatives. Watch out for our CIRCA session with CAZZIDA DOT aka Efe Ce Ele and Viper Dreams, both coming up with music on RAW Quarters in the next few month.

Important note:

“Today marks one month since the beginning of the National Strike in Colombia, and despite the tireless resilience of our people, and international organizations and media with their eyes on the country, state and police violence has intensified in atrocious ways.

From April 28 to May 25, Temblores ONG has identified 3,155 cases of police violence (not including disappearances)

This is why from the sound we remain in resistance.

The sales of the first three volumes of Horizontes series have made possible 7 donations to different communities, people, health brigades and community pots in the cities of Cali, Popayán and Medellín. Unfortunately, the streets and neighborhoods of the country still need help and economic support.

By listening, sharing and donating, you can help us resist ”

Important note:

WE ARE ALL FOR COLOMBIA!

Since April 2021 the people of Colombia have been protesting peacefully against corruption and unfairness from their government entities. These protests have been permeated and violated by terrible police brutality. There have been documented disappearances of hundreds of people, killings of civilians by police forces, sexual assaults made by members of the police, and thousands of injured victims according to the non-governmental organization ONG Temblores, who have been documenting the situation.

The compilation “100 Years Of Colombia” brings the Techno scene together to make attention and awareness of what’s happening in Colombia, with a hope for a better future. All the income from the compilation will be donated to charity organisations across Colombia.

Colpaz is a NGO that deals with current social development issues in Colombia, and also intermediates support towards third party organisations in defense to civil human rights against excessive police abuse. They are facilitating our contact with several organisations across Colombia to receive the funds we will raise with this compilation, including: Desaparicion forzada , Movice (Movimento Nacional de Víctimas de Crímenes de Estado) and Red Juridica Feminista, amongst others to be confirmed.
